Invitation

Dear Friends,

The Annual AMGR organising committee is delighted to announce that our Silver Jubilee event- 25th Reunion will be held on 1st and 2nd of May 2010 at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel, Leicester. Many of our members desired a change from the usual venue, as change is a part of human life. Moreover, Leicester is the historic Asian city, known for its multi cultural fragrance in the heart of the Midlands. It is the first time we will be celebrating in Leicester.

The responsibility of organising this year's event is bestowed upon the SUMUK- Sri Venkateswara Medics, UK. We wouldn't have reached this stage without the contributions of members belonging to each and every college of our common heritage. It is the product of our collective effort and hard work. As a convener of this event, it is my privilege to extend our invitation to you, your family and friends to grace this occasion and share our joy of reunion in an unique style.

Taking on the wisdom and guidance from the senior faculty, we wished to increase the participation from the junior members of our culture. We made genuine effort to give responsibilities to many Doctors coming from our motherland, especially those in the early stages of settling over here. This year the cultural, academic and social events are planned to bring in more novelty. We have sought a unique programme that befits the silver jubilee celebrations of our organisation.
Cultural Events:
1. Telugu tene palukulu: Entry for children/youth up to the age of 18.
We have three prizes in this category. We would like this competition to be an enjoyable experience for your kids, besides encouraging their fluency in speaking our mother tongue. So encourage your kids to participate.
2. Talent Show"AMGR's Got Talent!"
Yes, by all means ! Show us what you have got! You can perform any item you are proficient with. Preferably, reflecting Telugu / Indian culture.

Authentic Telugu Bhojanam in both vegetarian & non-vegetarian formats is being arranged with a touch of Leicester Cuisine, known for its Asian flavour with mouth watering prospects.

As you might have noticed, prices have gone up significantly and the sponsors have gone down in this recession era. We tried our best to keep the delegate fee reasonably in accordance with our significant increase in the expenditure. We will be grateful for your understanding and co-operation. To encourage youth ( aged 17 -21 yrs ) & trainee doctors joining AMGR , we have a special delegate fee when compared to the usual Adult fee . Many of you may like to stay for an extra night, please get in touch with Hotel directly for any extra nights for the specially negotiated prices quoting the reference: AMGR. An early check in time is also being negotiated ( for 12 Noon ) to explore Leicester and the Indian Shops on the famous Belgrave road, as the main venue is in the heart of the city.

So Ladies and Gentlemen, we are hoping to give you a memorable reunion. Please note that places are limited and offered on a first come first served basis.
